Linked Cases

Linked cases show the relationship between evaluations that share the same Application ID. When a case is re-evaluated or when multiple evaluations are submitted for the same applicant, RiskOS™ links them so reviewers can see the full history in context.

How cases get linked

Cases are linked automatically by Application ID. The following scenarios create linked cases:

  • Re-evaluation: When you rerun an evaluation, RiskOS™ creates a new case with a unique Evaluation ID. Both the original and new cases share the same Application ID, linking them together.
  • Multiple submissions: When multiple evaluations are submitted with the same Application ID (for example, a returning applicant), all resulting cases are linked.

View linked cases

In the Single Case View, the linked cases visualization shows connected evaluations as a flow diagram. Each node represents an evaluation, displaying:

  • The Evaluation ID
  • The case status and decision
  • The evaluation timestamp
  • The source connection to related cases

This visualization helps reviewers identify patterns across evaluations for the same applicant, such as repeated submissions, escalating risk signals, or changes in applicant data between evaluations.

Navigate between linked cases

Click any node in the linked cases flow to open that evaluation in the Single Case View. This allows you to compare data, decisions, and enrichment results across related evaluations without leaving the case review interface.

When to use linked cases

  • Investigating re-evaluations: Confirm whether a rerun produced a different outcome and compare the signals that changed.
  • Detecting repeat applicants: Identify applicants who have submitted multiple times and review the history of decisions.
  • Auditing decision consistency: Verify that related cases received consistent treatment across evaluations.
