Capture App Accessibility

Accessibility is a core part of how Socure designs and develops the Predictive DocV Capture App. Identity verification is often the gateway to critical digital experiences, so users of all abilities need to complete verification independently and successfully.

Socure invests in accessibility across the Predictive DocV Web and native mobile SDKs for iOS and Android, and builds accessibility into product design, development, testing, and ongoing remediation.

Standards and conformance

Predictive DocV is evaluated against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and applicable Revised Section 508 requirements. The Web, iOS, and Android experiences undergo regular independent accessibility assessments that combine automated, manual, functional, and assistive-technology testing.

Accessibility throughout the verification experience

Accessibility extends across the Predictive DocV experience, from navigating the verification flow to capturing a document and selfie, receiving real-time guidance, and understanding verification feedback. Depending on the platform and experience, accessibility capabilities include:

• Screen reader support — supports VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android to communicate interface elements, instructions, status information, and capture feedback.
• Accessibility-aware capture guidance — when supported device accessibility settings are enabled, Predictive DocV uses on-device models to provide more detailed, context-aware guidance through VoiceOver and TalkBack, helping users position their document and complete capture without relying solely on visual feedback.
• Document auto-capture — automatically captures the document once it is properly positioned and capture requirements are met, reducing the need to manually trigger the camera.
• Selfie auto-capture — automatically captures the selfie when the user is properly positioned, reducing the need for manual camera interaction.
• Haptic feedback during capture — provides tactile feedback during capture to supplement visual guidance.
• Keyboard-accessible navigation — supports operation of interactive functionality without relying on a pointer or touchscreen in the Web experience.
• Accessible visual design — supports text and non-text contrast and does not rely on color alone to communicate information or required actions.
• Text resizing and responsive content — supports text enlargement and content reflow for users who require larger text.
• Accessible instructions, errors, and status messages — communicates required actions, errors, and verification updates in ways that assistive technologies can interpret, without requiring the user to manually move focus to the message.

Socure's mobile accessibility evaluation also assesses functional usability across a broad range of needs, including users with no or limited vision, no or limited hearing, limited speech, limited manipulation, limited reach or strength, and limited language, cognitive, or learning abilities.

Testing and continuous improvement

Socure treats accessibility as an ongoing product discipline, not a one-time compliance exercise. Predictive DocV undergoes regular independent accessibility testing across Web, iOS, and Android that combines automated analysis with manual and functional evaluation using assistive technologies and representative user flows. Findings from these assessments feed back into product development and remediation.

Accessibility Conformance Reports

Socure maintains Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs), based on the VPAT®, to document evaluated conformance against applicable accessibility standards. Current reports include:
