Carrier line type override

In May 2026, we are introducing an improvement to phone line type classification for certain carrier-routed numbers.

For affected carriers, the line type will be overridden to Non-fixed VOIP.

This update improves the accuracy of line type signals. As a result, customers may observe a 0.5%–1.3% increase in Non-fixed VOIP classification rates.

New Payment Screening solution

In May 2026, we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of Payment Screening, a real-time solution designed to prevent sanctioned transactions before funds move. By moving beyond traditional batch processing, Socure enables financial institutions to evaluate every participant in a transaction—from beneficiaries and intermediary banks to crypto wallets—in under 200ms.

Why it matters:

Ensuring compliance shouldn't mean compromising the customer experience. Our Payment Screening solution closes compliance gaps by integrating sanctions checks directly into the payment flow, reducing regulatory risk without introducing latency.

Key Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Screening: Use a single API request to evaluate all entities in a transaction (senders, intermediaries, and identifiers like IBANs or BICs).
  • Identity-Driven Accuracy: Leverage Socure's Identity Graph to significantly reduce false positives and manual review fatigue.
  • Granular Orchestration: Customize watchlist policies based on entity roles, jurisdictions, and specific risk thresholds.
  • Unified Operations: Manage both onboarding and payment compliance within a single dashboard and audit trail.

Predictive DocV

In May 2026, we will introduce the following updates:

Updated Terms and Consent language

The consent language displayed on the Terms & Consent page in the Predictive DocV Native and Web SDKs will be updated to improve transparency around how consumer data is processed during identity verification.

Key update:

  • Adds the phrase "captured via photo or video" to clarify how selfie and document images are collected for analysis using automated technologies, including facial recognition

Full updated consent language:

Hello! We will verify your identity for ongoing fraud prevention purposes using our service provider Socure to analyze your selfie and document images captured via photo or video with automated technology, including facial recognition.

You have read, understood, and agree to Socure's Terms of Use, including class action waiver and arbitration agreement, and Privacy Notice, which explains how they collect, use, retain, transfer, and secure your facial biometrics and other personal information, their use of service providers, and your data rights.

No SDK update is required. The updated consent language will be applied automatically to all new DocV transactions.
